greetings !

I'm Maryanne, a passionate canine enthusiast and former professional dog trainer.

Some time ago, I conceived an idea for a children's book inspired by my beloved Basset Hounds, Randall and Hunter. Although I believed in the concept, I initially hesitated to pursue it. In 2023, during a morning meditation session, I experienced a vivid impression of Randall, who had passed away in 2011, conveying a message: "Mom, it's time to write that book about Hunter and me. I'll be the gentler character, and Hunter agrees."

This experience reignited my motivation to bring the project to life. As I delved into the writing process, I realized that my experiences with Randall and Hunter were so rich and diverse that they could form the basis for an entire series of children's books centered around the theme of adaptability. The ability to embrace change without fear is a crucial life skill for everyone.

I'm thrilled to create an opportunity for children to explore important life lessons through the endearing exploits of my furry friends.

The Hunter and Randall book series

Follows the pups as they navigate new environments and situations, offering young readers the chance to join my four-legged companions on their adventures.

The stories will showcase how the dogs overcome challenges and learn to

"GO WITH THE FLOW."

Book One
Two Tails on the Move

The first book in the series tells the story of Randall and Hunter as they travel from California to Vermont because their mom was ill and could no longer care for them. Luckily, mom has a sister in Vermont who loves dogs.

A portion of the proceeds from book one, will go to Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center in Blackwood, New Jersey. Hunter and Randall think this is great since they were both adopted from a rescue organization.
